During the online meeting, Mr. Murat MERCAN, General Manager of USHAŞ, talked about the activities carried out with the principle of common consciousness since the establishment of USHAŞ and the activities of “HealthTürkiye”, our international brand in the field of health tourism.
In his speech, Mr. Mercan stated that with the “HealthTürkiye” project, they set out with the aim of creating a national brand in the health sector and that USHAŞ is working to effectively promote all parties of the sector, regardless of public/private discrimination. He explained that the entire process is closely monitored, including NGOs, in order to further strengthen health tourism and to meet sectoral needs.
In his speech, USHAŞ General Manager Murat Mercan also mentioned the health tourism and health vocational training tourism activities offered by USHAŞ Academy to both the public and private sectors. He emphasized that USHAŞ Academy provides the necessary trainings for the needs of human resources working in the health tourism sector to reach the expected level of expertise.
Mr. Mercan stated that Turkey’s healthcare system and the services we offer will be promoted effectively and comprehensively in the United Kingdom. Regarding the disinformation news produced abroad about health tourism in Turkey, Mr. Mercan said, “We will take the necessary steps with the ‘HealthTürkiye’ brand with the two governments to prevent the disinformation news produced abroad about health tourism in Turkey recently and to find a common solution.” In addition, he stated that cooperation talks that will expand our health service provision in the UK will also be held at the Turkey – UK Health Dialogue Forum.
