USHAŞ visited Mr. KÖVECSI-OLÁH, Commercial Attaché of Hungary on February 10, 2025. During the meeting, USHAŞ’s activities carried out with public power, its role as a regulator and the “HealthTürkiye” initiative were discussed comprehensively within the framework of Türkiye’s mission to strengthen international cooperation in the field of health.
Mr. Behlül ÜNVER, General Manager of USHAŞ, emphasized that USHAŞ has made significant contributions to Türkiye’s growth in the field of health and that health cooperation opportunities between the two countries should be increased. Stating that there is no independent Ministry of Health in Hungary and that health services are carried out by the Ministry of Interior, it was emphasized that USHAŞ can contribute to the establishment of a modern health infrastructure in the country thanks to its role as a regulator.
During the meeting, cooperation opportunities in areas such as pharmaceutical and medical device supply, health tourism and health insurance were discussed, and it was emphasized that the elderly population rate in Hungary is high, and it was stated that efforts should be made to develop cooperation in the field of geriatrics and to include elderly patients in the care and treatment processes in Türkiye.
