On February 06, 2025, an important meeting was held in line with the strategic cooperation targets in the health sector. During the meeting, Mr. Behlül ÜNVER, General Manager of USHAŞ, and Mr. Muhammed ŞÜKRÜ, Chairman of the KRG Investment Board, discussed joint projects and collaborations in the field of healthcare.
Prior to the meeting, Mr. Behlül ÜNVER made a detailed presentation on USHAŞ’s fields of activity and international achievements, conveying the advantages of the “HealthTürkiye” platform and patient transfer processes, while also revealing the vision of strengthening health cooperation between countries.
During the meeting, it was emphasized that the information disinformation faced by Türkiye in the field of health tourism should be eliminated, and it was stated that Türkiye could be provided with continuous support in this regard. In addition, it was stated that the realization of the Turkish Friendship Hospital planned to be built in Erbil with the facilities of USHAŞ would be an important step to strengthen the health relations between the two countries.
In the following parts of the meeting, the importance of developing new projects for the supply of pharmaceuticals, medical devices and consumables was emphasized. At the end of the meeting, it was decided to carry out joint studies on hospital investment and health insurance as a priority.
