Mr. Behlül Ünver, General Manager of USHAŞ, hosted Mr. Abdürrahim Dusak, Deputy of Şanlıurfa and Mr. Hasan Arslan, Deputy of Afyonkarahisar in his office. During the visit, MPs Mr. DUSAK and Mr. ARSLAN wished our General Manager Mr. Behlül ÜNVER success in his new position and conveyed their best wishes. At the same time, projects to increase Turkey’s health tourism potential and the strategic role of USHAŞ in this field were emphasized.
During the meeting, developments in the field of health tourism and Turkey’s goal of becoming a global center of attraction in this sector were discussed. The contributions of Şanlıurfa and Afyonkarahisar to regional health tourism projects were an important focal point in this context. Şanlıurfa Deputy Mr. Abdürrahim DUSAK emphasized that the rich thermal resources and historical heritage of the region can be combined with health tourism to appeal to a wider audience. Afyonkarahisar MP Hasan ARSLAN, on the other hand, pointed out Afyonkarahisar’s deep-rooted history in thermal tourism and stated that the region can become an important destination in terms of sports health, especially with physiotherapy and rehabilitation centers.
In addition to the ongoing thermal health tourism projects in Afyonkarahisar, new investment opportunities were also discussed. MP Mr. ARSLAN stated that in addition to the existing thermal facilities in the region, with the construction of the planned 500-bed university hospital, Afyonkarahisar’s potential to become a center not only for local but also for international health tourism will be strengthened.
