On 08 January 2025, USHAŞ General Manager Behlül ÜNVER, along with Prof. Dr. Kemalettin AYDIN, Rector of the University of Health Sciences, visited Akmal Siddikov, Rector of the Fergana Institute of Public Health Medicine of Uzbekistan. The meeting started with sharing information about the activities of our organization and its achievements in the international arena, followed by evaluations on strengthening health cooperation between countries.
Our General Manager drew attention to the increasing cooperation with Uzbekistan in the field of health and stated that we are open to any opportunity to improve these relations. Within the scope of the meeting, concrete steps such as the conclusion of an agreement between the Fergana Institute of Public Health Medicine of Uzbekistan and USHAŞ on the training of health professionals and the organization of a medical workshop led by USHAŞ in May 2025 were brought to the agenda.
Our General Manager emphasized that bilateral cooperation activities can be initiated with the Fergana Institute of Public Health Medicine within the framework of the fields of activity of USHAŞ, and that these activities will further strengthen the relations between the two countries in the field of health.
At the end of the meeting, a mutual agreement was reached to establish new cooperation opportunities in the field of health with the Fergana Institute of Public Health Medicine. In this context, it was stated that the cooperation projects to be realized will contribute to the stronger relations between the two countries with the contributions of USHAŞ.
