USHAŞ General Manager Behlül ÜNVER and the accompanying delegation visited Abdullah YÜKSEL, Vice President of Turkish Statistical Institute (TURKSTAT) in his office. During the visit, the effective use and analysis of data in the field of health sector and health tourism and the potential of these data to contribute to promotion on international platforms were discussed in detail.
During the meeting, the importance of data-based planning was emphasized, especially in the growth strategies of health tourism. It was pointed out that critical data such as foreign patient profiles, service demands and patient satisfaction should be compiled for health tourism and comprehensive analyses should be made to guide the sector. It was agreed that TURKSTAT and USHAŞ will develop joint projects and prepare statistical reports that will increase Türkiye’s strength in international markets.
Behlül ÜNVER stated that TURKSTAT’s experience in producing reliable data offers a great opportunity to guide health tourism in the right direction. He also mentioned that the data could be used not only in health tourism but also in the fields of pharmaceuticals, medical devices and other health services, and that cooperation should be expanded in these areas.
Abdullah YÜKSEL, Vice President of TURKSTAT, stated that health tourism is among Türkiye’s strategic priorities and that they are pleased to support this field with the data provided by TURKSTAT. Mr. YÜKSEL stated that the effective use of data will not only strengthen Türkiye’s health tourism goals but also its position in global competition.
