USHAŞ General Manager Behlül ÜNVER hosted Aibek AKAEV, Undersecretary of the Kyrgyzstan Embassy in Ankara and Akılbek RAKHMANBERDİ UULU, Commercial Attaché of Kyrgyzstan in his office on 25 December 2024.
USHAŞ General Manager Behlül ÜNVER shared information about the fields of activity of USHAŞ, its international achievements and its role in strengthening inter-country cooperation in the field of health. He also stated that relations with Kyrgyzstan in the field of health are gradually developing and that we are open to possible cooperation opportunities. The Kyrgyz side expressed their pleasure to work with USHAŞ and stated that they would like to take the cooperation further.
During the meeting, our General Manager Behlül ÜNVER emphasized that issues such as hospital investments in Kyrgyzstan, sending Turkish doctors to Kyrgyzstan and organizing trainings for Kyrgyz health professionals could strengthen bilateral cooperation. In addition, he also stated that thermal tourism, geriatric tourism, spa and wellness, as well as issues such as pharmaceutical and medical device supply, digital health technologies and health insurance are among the priority areas of USHAŞ.
The Kyrgyz side stated that they would be pleased to host the USHAŞ delegation at the Kyrgyz Ministry of Health during the Joint Economic Commission (JEC) meeting to be held in Kyrgyzstan in February, and that they could bring together Kyrgyzpharmacy officials and USHAŞ and organize site visits to hospitals. He also stated that they are planning to open a medical faculty under the auspices of Kyrgyzstan-Turkish Manas University and that they expect support from USHAŞ in this regard.
