The future of health tourism was discussed at the meeting held in Nevşehir Governorship. The meeting was attended by Mr. Ali FİDAN, Governor of Nevşehir, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Muhammed ATAK, Director General of Health Promotion, Mr. Emre ÇALIŞKAN, MP for Nevşehir, Mr. Osman AÇIKGÖZ, Chief Field Coordinator of the Ministry of Health and Mr. Behlül ÜNVER, General Manager of USHAŞ.
At the opening of the meeting, the potential of health tourism to increase Türkiye’s competitiveness in the international arena was emphasized. Mr. Behlül ÜNVER, General Manager of USHAŞ, presented Türkiye’s strong infrastructure and international experience in the field of health tourism. In addition, concrete steps to be taken for the development of health tourism strategies were emphasized.
Mr. Behlül ÜNVER stated that health tourism is an important sector that allows Türkiye’s health services to be promoted worldwide and foreign patients to receive treatment in our country. In this context, he informed the participants about USHAŞ’s projects and collaborations in the field of health tourism. The meeting ended efficiently with the aim of creating a common vision for the development of health tourism.
