USHAŞ General Manager Behlül ÜNVER, Minister Counselor of the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Türkiye Ensar DOĞAN and the accompanying delegation met with First Deputy Minister of Health of Batumi Mari ZANAKIDZE and Deputy Minister Ilia VERDZADZE. During the meeting, comprehensive evaluations were made on strengthening the cooperation between the two countries in the field of health and developing health tourism projects.
During the meeting, Türkiye’s global achievements in the field of health tourism were cited as an example and cooperation opportunities were evaluated to increase the health tourism potential of Batumi. In addition, ideas were exchanged on the modernization of health facilities between the two countries and the realization of joint projects in hospital management.
USHAŞ General Manager Behlül ÜNVER emphasized Türkiye’s strength in international health services and the strategic role of USHAŞ in this process. “Türkiye’s healthcare system, quality standards and experience set an important example in regional cooperation projects. We are determined to establish a long-term and productive cooperation with Georgia in the health sector.”
As a result of the meetings, it was decided to take concrete steps to further strengthen cooperation in the field of healthcare and provide better services to the people of both countries. In this context, it was stated that issues such as the development of health tourism infrastructure and the establishment of joint training programs will be prioritized.
