On November 27, 2024, USHAŞ General Manager Mr. Behlül ÜNVER hosted Montenegro Chargé d’Affaires Mr. Dragan KRIVOKAPIC and the accompanying delegation in his office. During the meeting, the success of Türkiye’s healthcare system and USHAŞ’s leading role in international cooperation were highlighted and opportunities to develop strategic cooperation between the two countries in the field of healthcare were evaluated.
Mr. Behlül ÜNVER emphasized Türkiye’s modern healthcare infrastructure, technological superiority of public hospitals and qualified healthcare professionals, and called for cooperation in health tourism and health investments. He underlined that USHAŞ, which acts with Türkiye’s public assurance and embodies the dynamism of the private sector, can be an important bridge in joint projects with Montenegro.
The Montenegrin side, on the other hand, stated that they closely follow Türkiye’s global success in the field of health and suggested that preliminary diagnosis and diagnostic centers should be implemented in cooperation with USHAŞ within the scope of health investments especially for oncology patients. In addition, the intense interest of Montenegrin oncology patients coming to Türkiye within the scope of international patient treatment was underlined.
During the meeting, it was decided to sign a new agreement between the health ministries of the two countries, to establish joint working groups and to strengthen relations through field visits. It was stated that these collaborations to be carried out under the leadership of USHAŞ will further highlight Türkiye’s healthcare system in the international arena and contribute to the deepening of relations with Montenegro.
