Held on 24 January 2025 in Nevşehir, TÜRSAB Health Tourism Information and Development Meeting brought together important stakeholders in the field of health tourism. At the meeting, international health tourism authorization certificate criteria, health tourism processes and legislation in Türkiye and government incentives were discussed.
The opening speeches of the meeting were delivered by Mr. Faruk KAHVECİ, President of TÜRSAB Cappadocia ITK and Ms. Elif URAL, Member of the Board of Directors of TÜRSAB. During the presentations, Mr. Behlül ÜNVER, General Manager of USHAŞ, made a comprehensive presentation on strategies to increase Türkiye’s success in the field of international health tourism and the role of USHAŞ in this process. In addition, Mr. Fatih ÖZER, Secretary General of the Service Exporters’ Association and Mr. Hüseyin SAĞMAK, Trade Expert for Health and Travel Services at the Ministry of Trade, General Directorate of International Trade in Services, shared their knowledge and experiences.
The meeting ended with a question and answer session. This meeting, which was organized with the aim of increasing the contribution of health tourism to Türkiye’s economy and developing the potential of health tourism between regions, attracted great interest from the participants. The topics discussed made significant contributions to shaping strategies that will strengthen Türkiye’s leadership in the field of health tourism.
