Mr. Behlül ÜNVER, General Manager of USHAŞ, visited Mr. Tarık SÖNMEZ, Director General for International Trade in Services at the Ministry of Trade, and Mr. Ali Alperen KAÇAR, Deputy Director General. The purpose of the meeting was to discuss strategic cooperation opportunities that will further consolidate Türkiye’s leadership in the field of health tourism.
During the visit, Mr. ÜNVER presented USHAŞ’s suggestions on the development of incentives that will make Türkiye more attractive in the international health tourism arena. In this context, views were exchanged on increasing the support mechanisms that will make it easier for foreign patients to choose Türkiye, making health tourism services available to a wider audience, and innovative solutions to ensure that foreign patients have a comfortable and reliable treatment process in Türkiye
Mr. SÖNMEZ and Mr. KAÇAR emphasized Türkiye’s increasing role in health tourism on a global scale and highlighted the importance of the incentives and regulations to be made in this field. These steps are aimed to increase Türkiye’s competitiveness in health tourism and make Türkiye a preferred center for health services.
The visit was also considered as an important step for USHAŞ to develop projects that will contribute to Türkiye’s health tourism vision. Within the framework of the issues discussed during the meeting, it was emphasized that close cooperation between USHAŞ and the Ministry of Trade will continue in order for Türkiye to achieve long-term gains in the health tourism sector.
