USHAŞ visited Mr. Yunus SEZER, Governor of Edirne in his office. During the meeting, Edirne’s health tourism potential was discussed in detail and possible collaborations in this field were evaluated.
During the meeting, Edirne’s strategic location and rich historical heritage were discussed along with its strengths in health tourism. In particular, issues such as international patient services, modern health facilities and advantageous location in border regions were emphasized.
Mr. Behlül ÜNVER shared USHAŞ’s national and international experience in the field of health tourism and detailed the cooperation that can be made for Edirne to take a more effective role in health tourism. During the meeting, a consensus was reached on strengthening the health infrastructure of the region, increasing promotional activities and realizing new projects for health tourism.
USHAŞ continues to evaluate cooperation opportunities in different cities in order to reinforce Türkiye’s leadership in health tourism and support local dynamics. In this context, the meetings with Edirne are considered as an important step towards the region becoming an important center in the field of health tourism.
