Mr. Behlül ÜNVER, General Manager of USHAŞ, hosted Mr. Nadir Yousif ELTAYEB, Ambassador of Sudan to Ankara and the accompanying delegation in his office. Mr. ELTAYEB congratulated Mr. Behlül ÜNVER, General Manager of USHAŞ, on his new position and wished him success.
During the meeting, the international achievements of USHAŞ, the “HealthTürkiye” platform and issues regarding the development of cooperation between Türkiye and Sudan in the field of health were discussed. Mr. ELTAYEB stated that Türkiye is the primary treatment destination for Sudanese patients and requested support especially in visa processes. He also suggested cooperation on issues such as the establishment of an International Patient Center at Mygoma Hospital and the elimination of deficiencies in the fields of hematology and dialysis.
Mr. ÜNVER stated that important steps will be taken to strengthen health relations with Sudan and that USHAŞ will accelerate its efforts to improve international patient processes, set performance criteria and provide visa facilities. During the meeting, issues such as pharmaceutical and medical device supply, hospital investments and directing Sudanese business people to thermal, spa and wellness projects were also evaluated.
At the end of the meeting, it was emphasized that concrete steps will be taken within the framework of bilateral cooperation agreements in the field of health and relations will be further strengthened.
