A strategic meeting was hosted by the Directorate General for External Relations of the European Union to discuss opportunities for cooperation between Türkiye and the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia in the field of healthcare. During this strategic meeting, important assessments were made on USHAŞ’s extensive fields of activity in the healthcare sector and the future of cooperation between the two countries.
The meeting was attended by Dr. Aziz Alper Biten, Director General for External Relations of the European Union; Fahad Bin Assaad Bin Abdulkareem Abualnasr, Ambassador of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to Ankara; Behlül Ünver, General Manager of USHAŞ; and Prof. Dr. Ümit Kervan, President of the Turkish Institutes of Health (TÜSEB).
During the meeting, Türkiye’s strong healthcare infrastructure and its leadership role in global collaborations were emphasized and fruitful consultations were held on joint projects that can be realized with Saudi Arabia.
