USHAŞ General Manager Mr. Behlül ÜNVER and the accompanying delegation hosted Oman Ambassador to Ankara Mr. Saif Rashid AL JAWHARI and Chief Clerk Mr. Nadir AL ABRI in his office on 14 January 2025.
During the meeting, USHAŞ’s fields of activity, Turkish Friendship Hospitals, HealthTürkiye platform, international achievements and Türkiye’s role as a regulator in the field of health were discussed in detail. Mr. ÜNVER expressed his satisfaction with the development of relations with Oman in the field of health and emphasized that they are open to possible cooperation opportunities.
Mr. AL JAWHARI stated that Türkiye has made a great breakthrough in the health sector in recent years, especially thanks to the city hospitals projects and accredited health institutions. He also expressed his appreciation for the importance Türkiye attaches to domestic and national production.
During the meeting, priority areas were identified to strengthen cooperation between the two countries in the field of health. In this context, issues such as the supply of pharmaceuticals and medical devices, digital health information systems, health tourism, R&D studies, the establishment of a pharmaceutical factory, the training of health professionals and the organization of health business forums came to the fore. Mr. AL JAWHARI drew attention to the importance of the supply of medicines and vaccines, especially for chronic diseases, and expressed that they would like to cooperate with Türkiye in this field. The Ambassador invited Mr. Behlül ÜNVER, General Manager of USHAŞ, to Oman and the planned health fair as a speaker.
This important meeting paved the way for the strengthening of health cooperation between Türkiye and Oman and the further advancement of the relations between the two countries with the contributions of USHAŞ.
