The 2nd Meeting of Türkiye-United Kingdom Cooperation in the Field of Tourism was held on November 13, 2024 in Ankara with the participation of many public institutions and organizations, with the participation of USHAŞ General Manager Behlül ÜNVER. Important meetings were held within the framework of various topics such as airline transportation, tourism security, continuity and health tourism. The event started with the opening speeches of the heads of delegations and continued with presentations on air transportation and health tourism.
During the sessions, representatives of key institutions from the UK and Türkiye discussed the current developments in air transportation and the plans for the future. They also shared their views on the current situation in the field of health tourism and the continuation of cooperation. In this context, officials from the Turkish Ministry of Health presented plans to expand health insurance coverage and joint projects between the two countries.
In the second session on tourist security, critical issues such as tourism security and continuity approaches, security arrangements in hotels and accommodation facilities were examined in detail. In this session, measures to ensure the safety of tourists were discussed in detail by officials from the Turkish Ministry of Interior, the Turkish National Police and the Gendarmerie General Command.
At the end of the meeting, the delegations agreed to start working on new projects to accelerate future cooperation and further strengthen tourism ties between Türkiye and the United Kingdom.
