Türkiye’s efforts to strengthen its health tourism targets continue unabated. The Ministry of Health aims to restructure USHAŞ to make it more effective and expand Türkiye’s healthcare services in the international arena.
In his statement, Minister of Health Prof. Dr. Kemal MEMİŞOĞLU emphasized that health tourism should be supported not only by the provision of qualified services, but also by the production of health science and knowledge. Mr. MEMİŞOĞLU stated that there is a need for the development of basic and preventive health services on the public side and made the following statements:
“We want to be a country that not only provides a successful service in health services, but also produces health science and knowledge. We have a long way to go and important work to do in this area. In this process, we expect support from all our stakeholders.”
