USHAŞ General Manager Behlül ÜNVER, Minister Counselor of the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Türkiye, Ensar DOĞAN and the accompanying delegation held a series of important meetings in Batumi in order to develop Türkiye’s health tourism activities and increase cooperation with Georgia. In this context, the delegation met with Deputy Consul General of Batumi Talha BAYEZİT and Attaché of the Ministry of Trade of the Republic of Türkiye Canberk GÜZEL.
During the visit, the steps that can be taken to further advance Türkiye’s leading position in international health services were discussed. In particular, issues such as the evaluation of the health tourism potential in and around Batumi, the realization of joint projects and the transfer of Türkiye’s expertise in the field of health to Georgia were emphasized.
During the meetings, concrete projects such as infrastructure, logistical support, training of qualified human resources and modernization of health facilities required for the development of health tourism were discussed. Furthermore, particular importance was attached to strengthening cooperation in the supply of pharmaceuticals and medical devices.
It was emphasized that the international experience and strategic networks of USHAŞ will create new opportunities in the field of health tourism with Georgia. Behlül ÜNVER stated that this meeting reflects the friendly relations between the two countries and that the steps to be taken in the field of health tourism will contribute to regional development.
