Health Tourism Summit in Edirne: Balkan Countries Come Together

The Balkan Health Tourism Forum will be held in Edirne on 26-27 April 2025 under the auspices of the Republic of Türkiye Ministry of Health and organized by the Governorship of Edirne and USHAŞ. The Forum will offer an important cooperation platform in the field of international health tourism with the participation of health ministers and leading representatives of 11 Balkan countries.

 

At the opening of the Forum, under the leadership of the Minister of Health of the Republic of Türkiye Prof. Dr. Mr. Kemal MEMİŞOĞLU, health authorities, experts, academicians and private sector representatives of the Balkan countries will come together. The event will discuss strategic issues such as health tourism, medical cooperation and technology transfer. In addition, new partnership opportunities that will contribute to regional development will be evaluated.

 

Academic Contribution and Strategic Objectives
At the end of the two-day forum, a report will be prepared with academic outputs including the impact of the health tourism sector on regional development and concrete steps for sustainable cooperation with Balkan countries. This report will summarize the steps to be taken to strengthen regional cooperation and strategic goals for the sector.

 

The event aims to promote Türkiye’s potential in the field of health tourism and modern health infrastructure in the international arena and aims to produce concrete solutions for the development of joint projects and technology sharing with Balkan countries.

The forum, which will be held in the historical and cultural richness of Edirne, will bring together leading representatives in the field of health tourism and aims to reinforce Türkiye’s international strength in the field of health tourism. The forum, which will be organized with the contributions of the Republic of Türkiye Ministry of Health, Edirne Governorship and USHAŞ, stands out as an important step towards strengthening regional cooperation in the fields of health tourism and medical cooperation.
