The “Edirne Health Tourism Information and Development Meeting,” hosted by the Edirne Chamber of Commerce and Industry and organized by the Association of Turkish Travel Agencies (TÜRSAB), prepared the ground for important sharing and cooperation in the field of health tourism.
Attending the meeting, Mr. Behlül ÜNVER, General Manager of USHAŞ, emphasized Türkiye’s potential in the field of health tourism and the expectations in this sector and said, “Türkiye continues to be one of the most preferred destinations in the world in the field of health tourism with its modern health infrastructure and experienced health professionals. As of 2023, we generated 3 billion 100 million dollars in revenues from health tourism. In 2024, the number of tourists choosing Türkiye for health tourism is expected to reach 1 million 650 thousand. As stated by our President, Türkiye’s expected revenue from health tourism will be 20 billion dollars by 2028.”
Mr. Behlül ÜNVER stated that as USHAŞ, they have developed strategies to support the health tourism sector and that they continue to work with determination for our country to reach the place it deserves in the field of international health tourism.
