On February 05, 2025, USHAŞ held an important meeting in Erbil with Mr. Aydin MARUF, Regional Minister for Ethnic and Religious Formations of the KRG. During the meeting, Türkiye’s role as a regulator in the field of health tourism and international cooperation opportunities were discussed. USHAŞ’s ability to make strong collaborations with public and private organizations in the health sector by combining the dynamism of the private sector with public assurance was emphasized.
The importance of Erbil as a target destination in the field of health and its potential to contribute to Türkiye’s health infrastructure was discussed during the meeting. It was stated that health institutions and universities that will represent Türkiye in Erbil will offer attractive opportunities for both patients and healthcare professionals.
Mr. Behlül ÜNVER, General Manager of USHAŞ, stated that they aim to make Türkiye a leading center in the field of international health. In this direction, it was stated that new cooperation opportunities could be evaluated by organizing a health business forum or workshop in Erbil.
Mr. Aydın MARUF stated that they would like to benefit from the contributions of USHAŞ in areas such as the construction of health facilities, doctor training, support in the field of oncology, supply of medicines and medical devices. At the end of the meeting, Mr. Aydın MARUF stated that they are ready for any kind of cooperation in the field of health through USHAŞ.
