An online meeting was held with Mr. Barış KALKAVAN, Ambassador of the Republic of Türkiye in Podgorica and Mr. Rıza SUNGUR, Second Secretary on 13 March 2025. During the meeting, the scope of services to be provided to health tourists coming from Montenegro to Türkiye and cooperation opportunities were evaluated.
During the meeting, USHAŞ General Manager Mr. Behlül ÜNVER’s field visit to Montenegro was brought to the agenda, while the Ambassador emphasized that an intergovernmental agreement could be made in the field of health and the establishment of a pre-diagnostic center under the leadership of USHAŞ, especially for oncology patients, would be an important step. During the planned site visit, meetings with the President of the Montenegro Health Fund, the Dean of the Faculty of Medicine, the Minister of Health of Montenegro or his deputy ministers are envisaged.
During the meeting, USHAŞ’s potential to contribute to health investments in Montenegro was also discussed, and the details of the Balkan Health Business Forum to be held on April 26-27 were discussed.
